Ingredients:
- 250 g of fresh ginger, cut into thin slices
- 1 liter of water
- 120 g of brown sugar or honey
- Pinch of black pepper
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice (from one lemon)
- Lemon slices for decoration
Preparation:
- Boil ginger with sugar on low heat until it starts to simmer. Mix for the sugar to melt.
- Cover and let it simmer for 30 minutes
- Strain, add black pepper, lemon juice and more water, optionally.
Serve the tea in small tea cups that you can decorate with lemon slices.
Instead of brown sugar, you can try other natural sweeteners such as agave syrup or stevia.
