How to Prepare Yogi's Breakfast
Breakfast can be prepared by putting the following into a small bowl:
- 2 tablespoons of oats or wheat (that you have soaked overnight, and boiled for 5 minutes in the morning)
- 1 tablespoon of minced flax
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon of minced walnuts or almonds
- Few raisins, cranberries or other dried fruits
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- Spices such as cinnamon (optional)
Add a little bit of hot water into the mixture just to stir the ingredients, or if you wish you can add almond, soya or other type of milk.
This meal, which is called yogi breakfast, will provide you with a lot of energy, essential vitamins, minerals and other necessary nutrients.
Benefits of Yogi Breakfast
Nuts improve heart and blood vessel functions. They increase the level of serotonin, which helps us to deal better with depression and anxiety.
They are also rich in fiber, copper, folate and arginine. Arginine is an amino acid important in maintaining immunity.
Walnuts satisfy the body’s daily needs for minerals because they contain magnesium, zinc, sulphur, phosphorus, iodine, unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins.
Almonds contain more calcium than other nuts.
Hazelnuts are rich in vitamin C, calcium and iron, and are recommended in case of heartburn.
Grapes contains more carbohydrates then other fresh fruits and therefore they provide the body with significant daily amount of energy.
They contain protective substances such as resveratrol, while black grapes contains isoflavones.
Only certain varieties of grapes are dried and transformed into raisins that are even richer in nutrients. Raisins are excellent for improving blood count and the level of hemoglobin.
Wheat has high nutritive properties and it is one of the best sources of primary proteins.
It contains everything that is necessary for our body such as proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

Honey is a mixture of various organic acids, amino acids, enzymes, pollen grains, essential oils, flavonoids, vitamins and minerals in smaller quantities.
Darker honey has more minerals.
It also contains a high concentration of glucose (34%) and fructose (41%) that feeds the brain and heart by storing glycogen in the liver.
Honey is easily digestible and high calorie food and therefore it considered as a superior energy source.
It is especially suitable for athletes, and at the same time it is a healthy alternative to white sugar.
