Meditation has existed since this world exists.
It is an integral component of all religions and cultures on Earth.
Its beneficial effects on the mind and body allow us to expand our perception and better operate in daily life.
Today many people practice some form of meditation every day.
The notion of meditation has been popularized in the world today thanks to the many famous people who have practiced it - the Beatles, Madonna, Tina Turner and many others.
Spontaneously developed through meditation is a sense of belonging and connectedness with all creation, with the natural growth of awareness, compassion and love.
Through meditation we can get rid of stress and bad thoughts, reach a higher level of insight and release ourselves of negative emotions.
It has been scientifically proven that meditation can strengthen the mind, improve the health of neurons, increase intelligence and happiness.
Daily meditation can significantly improve the quality of your life.
Universal remedy for everything
Meditation is not just an exercise or breathing technique. It has nothing to do with hypnosis or magic.
The root of the word meditation comes from the Latin word meditare or the Greek word medesthai meaning "to dwell in, to think or to immerse yourself in".
In Sanskrit meditation is called dhjana, i.e. "full awareness".
These names indicate that the meditation is a technique of self-realization and expansion of consciousness, which achieves a harmony of body, mind and emotions, thus developing personality, happiness and health.
There are many types of meditation, which are divided into three basic forms: a meditation on sound (mantra), form and symbol.
Every type of meditation awakens the inner consciousness, boundless peace and tranquility.
Meditation should be understood as the science of the spirit as a universal remedy for every man.
When we have a headache, we take medicine for a headache. The same drug is used by everyone, regardless of gender, age, skin color, nationality or religion.
All of us suffer from the same problems - depression, anger, jealousy, hatred, envy, inability to fulfill our desires, etc.
Meditation is a universal cosmic remedy that helps us solve these problems and experience the boundless happiness and satisfaction.
Effective protection against stress
Today, everyone is familiar with the word stress, but what many do not know is that stress is the cause of 75% of diseases and 50% of deaths.
Excessive exposure to stress damages the hypothalamus and pressures the nervous, endocrine and circulatory systems.
A movement disorder may develop, regeneration is slowed down, and the proportion of fat in the abdominal area is increased.
Stress interferes with the functioning of the thyroid gland and leads to the formation of clots in the blood, increasing the risk of heart attack.
Any change in our lives, whether it is good or bad, can cause stress in psychosomatic system.
Since today we live in a rapidly changing environment, it requires us to change with it, so we find ourselves in a constant demand for adjustments, which we often cannot fulfill.
Meditation is a slow and gradual process of inner growth that allows us to become aware of our infinite nature and the possibilities that are within us.
Meditation calms, gives a sense of satisfaction, encourages personal growth and creativity, and enhances the ability to adapt and accept.
This is why meditation is the best way to combat the everyday stress.
Although the most important things happens in the subtle levels which we cannot see, in the past twenty years scientists have succeeded to prove the impact of meditation on the physiology and psychology of man and his environment.
Harmonization of all activities
Meditation is the most powerful way of harmonizing and correcting irregularities and physiological disorders because meditation directly affects the cause of the disease, which is actually located in the more subtle parts of our being.
Through meditation you strengthen the physical, mental and spiritual health, and thus become more resistant to disease and stressful situations in which you can find yourselves.
When your mind is calm and relaxed, then it supports the physiology.
It has been scientifically proven that during meditation we experience a complete synchronization of brain waves, normalization of metabolism, deep relaxation, lowering of blood pressure, harmonization of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.
Meditation relaxes the nervous system, whose disorders are a common cause of many diseases.
The impact of meditation on health:
- reduces anxiety and stress
- relaxes and harmonizes body systems
- reduces chronic pain
- cures insomnia
- relaxes the abdominal muscles
- strengthens the endocrine and nervous system
- promotes the degradation of uric acid
- improves concentration
- promotes youthfulness and health
Rejuvenate your brain!
It is known that man uses only 5-10% of the brain, while the other parts of the brain are completely unused and dormant.
Science has proven that meditation can strengthen the physical structure of the brain and engage its dormant parts.
Brain scans showed that people who meditate have an increased thickness in parts of the brain that deal with attention and stimuli processing.
During meditation we experience an increased activity of gray matter areas such as the right hippocampus, the right gray matter in orbitofrontal cortex, the right thalamus and the lower left temporal lobe.
Meditation also helps slow down the aging process of the brain, which is very important because the brain eventually becomes thinner and thought processes become weaker.
This technique enhances the neural function and the creation of impulses, connections and thought processes.
Meditation purifies the mind and encourages a better organization, faster learning and improved concentration.
Therefore, it is a very practical technique for every person, regardless of occupation and profession
The impact of meditation on human psychology:
- relieves depression and increases the feeling of satisfaction
- builds personality and expands mental potential
- improves learning ability, perception and memory
- increased intelligence, creativity and concentration
- strengthens confidence
- develops personality and helps get rid of bad habits
Become a happy and fulfilled person
Like after a good night's sleep and rest, you wake up fresh and enthusiastic – your day becomes productive, happy and fulfilled.
As when you wash the mirror and everything looks clearer, meditation gives you fresh perception in everyday activities.
Regular meditation in the morning and evening enables a positive and exciting approach to everyday activities and allows you to positively affect other people.
Great people like van Gogh, Bach, and Mozart had a crystal clear and pure perception.
They used their maximum potential and the conditions in which they lived.
The goal of meditation and various breathing techniques is just that – for a person to become happy, fulfilled, creative and realize their full mental potential.
