One chickpeas serving provides the body with important nutritive ingredients especially the ones responsible for muscle growth, which makes it an excellent choice for athletes.
To enjoy a bowl of proteins try this simple salad made from chickpeas and aromatic herbs that you can prepare at any time of the day.
Ingredients:
- 1 and ½ cups of chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons of freshly minced basil
- 2 tablespoons of freshly minced parsley
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 4 teaspoons of olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Pinch of salt

Pinch of freshly milled black pepper
Preparation:
- Soak chickpeas in water for 8 hours or better leave it soaked over the night. Cook them and strain them.
- In a deep bowl mix aromatic herbs, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and salt. Add chickpeas and mix well.
- In the end, add a pinch of pepper.
If you want to prepare this salad with curry, then add curry powder, minced stone leek and carrots cut into pieces.
