Summer is the season in which each drop of liquid we take is precious.
You will notice the loss of water and salt through effusive sweating.
That's why we are presenting you three recipes to prepare tasty beverages which will quickly do an important job: supplement the lost fluid and save the organism from exhaustion.
You can make some of those drinks to recover from a sports training and any other major physical effort.
1. Cranberry and maple syrup – natural electrolites in the glass
This delicious drink is an extraordinary means of supplementing lost fluids since it abounds in electrolites, vitamines and minerals as well as in salt, indispensable for keeping the fluid in the organism.
Ingredients:
- 6 dl bio cranberry juice
- 1 litre water
- 1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan salt
- 2 spoons of maple syrup or honey to taste
Mix all the ingredients and cool in the fridge before use.
2. Citric acid to save overheated organism
Tasty lemon and lime in this combination are a good solution for an overheated organism. They are rich in vitamin C and other valuable nutrients which will help the body replace the lost fluid and regain balance.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 dl fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 dl fresh lime juice
- 1/2 litre water
- 1/8 teaspoon of Himalayan salt
- 2 tablespoons natural sugar or honey to taste
Place the ingredients in the blender and blend until the sugar or honey dissolve.
You can cool the drink in the fridge and add it two ice cubes before serving.
3. Smoothie that "brings back to life"
This recipe uses coconut water, a miracle healthy drink whose impact on the organism can only be compared to mother's milk.
Coconut water will in many cases be a true elixir for the whole body. This will be the case with this recipe, which contains the basis for a quick hydratation of the organism during a scorching heat spell.
It replaces very quickly the lost vitamins, minerals and electrolites.
Although this recipe includes strawberries during their season, you can replace them with other fruits like watermelon, oranges, pears and others.
Ingredients:
- 6 dl coconut water
- 200 g strawberries
- 2 dl purified water
- 1/8 teaspoons Himalayan salt
- cup of ice
- 2 teaspoons of honey or other natural sweetener – to taste
Mix all the ingredients in the blender and drink the fresh smoothie immediately. If some drink remains, keep it in the fridge.
