Raspberry (Lat. Rubus idaeus) is an herbaceous plant of the rose family.

It is believed that raspberry is native to South Asia and it is so old that it was eaten by the cave people.

Over many centuries, it was valued as a medicinal herb.

The ancient Greeks attributed it a power of promoting fertility, for which raspberry leaves were used.

However, the enchanting flavor of raspberry is most responsible for its present status of superbly popular fruit.

Composition and healing properties of raspberries

In studies, people who consumed foods high in fat followed by the consumption of raspberry ketones have not gained weight.
