Almond milk is a healthy beverage full of vitamins, minerals and other nutritious ingredients.
Preparing almond milk will only take a few minutes of your time.
This delicious beverage will benefit your heart, protect your body from cancer and ageing.
It is a safe and healthy alternative to conventional diary (cow and soya milk) because it does not contain lactose and gluten.
All you need are two basic ingredients to which you can add sweeteners or other aroma ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of almonds
- 1 l of water
Preparation:
- Soak the almonds in water over night.
- Put almonds into the food processor, pour water and mix until you get a milky white liquid.
- Strain through a gaze or some other material and your homemade almond milk is ready.
Before mixing you can add 5-6 dates that will naturally make the milk sweet.
Instead of dates, after straining the mixture you can add 1.5 teaspoon of honey or stevia.
For a delicious beverage you will enjoy at any time of the day, you can also add a pinch of cinnamon or a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
If you are a fan of chocolate milk you can also add 2-3 teaspoons of cocoa or chocolate powder.
Almond milk should be kept in the fridge and used in three days.
You can drink it as a refreshing and nourishing beverage, add it to your cereals for breakfast or use it in preparing homemade sweets or creams.
