There is no universal solution or answer on how to protect yourself, but one thing is for sure.

To protect your body and health you don't need a lot of money.

Some of the best methods for boosting the immunity are totally free.

The only thing you need is persistency. 


Small Methods for Great Results


1. Harden Your Body


With modern heating systems, people started to live in overheated spaces.

Therefore, they became hypersensitive to lower indoor temperature, and also, to the causative agents of diseases.

Applying contrastive methods for toughen your body - exposure to high and low temperatures - you can make your body tolerate low and high temperatures.

Thus, your body will become less submissive to colds.

The more the body is exposed to cold, it is less sensitive to it, since it accustoms to low temperature.

Exposure to low and high temperatures, through cold and hot showers, baths, compresses, ice chambers and saunas, steels the body.

Many northern nations are practicing this method for all age groups and it is the common procedure for them.

Toughening the body is not a universal process.

There are many different methods, and one that is less painful is small ice bath for legs, recommended by Professor Dr. Sergey Bubnovskij, a famous Moscow specialist in kinesitherapy.

Procedure for mini ice bath:

  • Every evening fill the bathtub with 10-15 centimeters of cold, icy water. 
  • Do not add any hot water!
  • Enter barefoot in the tub and tap with your feet in the icy water for only 10-15 seconds!
  • Then exit the bathtub and wipe the feet with rough towel and put on the wool socks.
  • If you repeat this every night, this mini ice bath will significantly strengthen your immunity.


2. Moderate-Intensity Exercise


Regular exercise is one of the basis for good health.

Moderate-intensity exercise decreases tension and stress, and boosts the immunity functions.

It improves cardiovascular health, lowers blood pressure and helps in controlling weight.

Exercise improves circulation that enables the substances from immune system to circulate throughout the body more efficiently, thus directly affecting the immunity.

In 2006, the scientist have been observing 115 overweight women in post-menopause and divided them into two groups with different exercises.

One group has been practicing stretching for one hour once a week, and the second group practiced moderate-intensity exercise for 45 minutes every day, five days a week.

After a year of conducting this research, the group that had exercised once a week suffered from cold three times more.

Moving is one of the basic human needs.

Many people are neglecting this, and that is one of the main reasons why they get sick.

Moving and exercising is recommended even to sick people, of course, in the period when they feel good enough to exercise.

It is difficult to start exercising, because it demands an effort but remember that every effort brings progress.

Therefore, leave the excuses, and start exercising today.


3. Fasting


There are many testimonies and scientific confirmations on benefits of fasting.

According to researchers from the University of Northern California, a minimum of three day fasting can regenerate your whole immunity, even among older people.

Fasting stimulates the production of cells that help to fight the infections.

Scientist have added that fasting can be particularly efficient for people with low immunity, and for patients receiving chemotherapy, as it reduces its side effects.

Fasting also helps with weight loss, boosts metabolism, treats insulin resistance and improves brain function.

Fasting is not easy, so at the beginning you will probably feel the side effects of detoxification.

But you will also feel lighter and have more energy.

Higher enthusiasm will overwhelm you, and you will need to sleep less than usual in order to feel refreshed.

If you decide to introduce one-day fast twice a month - this will mean a lot to your body.


Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle


Adopting a healthier lifestyle is a first step towards fighting any disease.


You can always boost your immunity with:

  • Enough sleep
  • Reducing of alcohol and cigarettes
  • Elimination of stress
  • Nutrition which is based on fresh and whole ingredients
  • Frequent sojourn in fresh air
  • Socializing and laughing
