Absinthe wormwood is a large branched plant, with silver leaves, a characteristic odor and an unpleasant bitter taste.
Legend says that the goddess Artemis gave absinthe wormwood to women for easing childbirth and that is how this plant got its Latin name - Artemisia absynthium.
Its use has been noted since the Roman times, and is often mentioned in the Bible.
Hippocrates prescribed it for treating pain, amnesia and rheumatism.
Preparations made of this plant are extremely healing if applied in proper proportions, while in larger doses wormwood has a narcotic effect.
In the 18th century, wormwood was hated by the authorities, as many people abused it as a drug.
Famous hallucinogenic drink absinthe has not been named after this plant by accident, but because its main ingredient is absinthe wormwood, which gives this drink its hallucinogenic properties.
Today, absinthe drink is banned in many countries due to its harmful narcotic effect.
However, in smaller doses, absinthe wormwood is harmless and is regarded as the strongest natural remedy ever known. It is particularly effective against parasites and in healing digestive problems.
Parasite killer
According to Dr. Hulda Clark, an author of many books and inventor of Zapper and anti-parasite program, parasites are among the major causes of many diseases.
Absinthe wormwood is one of the few plants that have strong suppressor activity. This plant contains thujone and isothujone, which kill not only adult parasites, but also their eggs.
Among the ingredients in absinthe wormwood we find santonin, known as a cure for diseases caused by parasites.
There is also a sesquiterpene lactone, which weakens parasite membranes and easily kills them.
The best medicine for digestion
Absinthe wormwood is one of the most effective and fastest acting drugs for all kinds of problems with digestion and bile.
His distinct bitterness is due to absinthin, which affects digestion and circulation.
You have probably heard that taking bitter foods before meals improves digestion.
Bitter taste in the mouth promotes the formation of bile and performance of intestinal glands and by doing so it allows for better digestion.
Except as a digestive, it is also used against high temperature and malaria, and gives better results than the more renowned, but also more toxic quinine. Taken systemically it also cures obesity and diabetes.
It also has a powerful, invigorating effect and eases physical weakness.
When consumed in small amounts it stimulates kidney performance and helps with kidney disease, inflammatory irritation of the kidneys, bladder catarrh and dropsy.
It is recommended for women in order to encourage and regulate menstruation.
In a study at Yale, people suffering from Crohn's disease for ten weeks received therapy containing absinthe wormwood instead of steroids.
It was noted that many of these patients no longer needed steroids and that their quality of life has improved. It is one of the effects that modern drugs could not provide for them.
