One of the most popular and most widely used natural medicine which almost every home has is the valuable nectar of bees – honey.
Though most often used to sweeten tea, it is an exceptionally valuable medicine in oral and local use as well as an effective cosmetic product.
There are many types of honey and all of them are therapeutic. All honeys are biocatalysts and are good for digestion.
Naturally, this is true only if we’re talking about real honey, not imitation products, which are, unfortunately, increasingly present in the market.
Real, natural honey can be of great benefit with any malady.

1. Linden honey
Linden honey has a clear, almost translucent colour and a mild flavour.

Manuka honey is produced from the flowers of the Manuka evergreen tree, which grows only in the area of New Zealand and is considered the most therapeutic honey in the world.
It has stable, powerful and unique antibacterial properties which cannot be found in any other type of honey.
It helps with even the most resistant bacteria, such as MRSA and, as evidenced by numerous users around the world who, thanks to manuka honey, were saved from having to amputate their limbs.
It has an excellent effect on a wide range of diseases and is especially useful for people with weak immune systems.
When suffering from acute inflammations, it is recommended you take a spoon of manuka honey every hour.
Using honey
The recommended daily dose of honey for adults is between 60 and 100 grams three times a day (in the morning, during the day, and before bed).
The recommended daily dose for children under 10 is 30 grams, also to be taken divided in three doses during the course of the day.
Honey should be allowed to melt in the mouth before swallowing.
When you add it to warm drinks, make sure the drink is no warmer than 40 degrees Celsius, so that honey can retain its therapeutic properties.
