Why should we walk barefoot

Do you know that in our feet and palms there are points connected with all vital organs in our body?

By stimulating these points we massage interior organs and enhance the flow of vital energy through them.

People used to walk barefoot on grass, stones, and beaches and by doing so they performed that natural acupressure processes.


Energy flow in our body


Bioelectricity flows through our bodies and gives energy to all our organs in order for them to function properly and balanced. 

That bioelectricity flows trough a web of meridians similar to blood flow.

Meridians start at each finger of both hands; they stretch across the entire body and end on the tips of our toes. 

When such meridians are passable, electricity streams freely and all organs receive energy needed for optimal performance. 

When, for any reason, that flow is obstructed, energy cannot reach certain organs and disorders in that organ’s function appear which in time result in diseases. 

Our palms and feet contain numerous "switches" for all our vital organs and parts of the body. 

On the tips of our fingers there are points connected to our head – for brain, sinuses, eyes and ears.

Upper part of our palms and feet contain upper body points and lower part of our palms and feet contain lower body points.

In order to activate those points, massage your feet every day or simply take a walk barefoot.


Acupressure foot massage


Acupressure is a system of applying pressure on certain body parts with the purpose of healing and maintaining optimal balance of bodily systems.

For optimal health and vitality, massage every foot and palm for 5 minutes every morning.

Pressure has to be strong, but not too strong. You can test your pressure on a scale you use in your household; it has to be between 1.4 – 2.3 kg (3-5 lbs). 

Although acupressure methods are fairly simple, effects and benefits you receive from applying it are unbelievable. 

If you suffer from sinus problems, anxiety, digestion problems, lack of energy, frequent infections, heart problems, hormonal disorders etc., all of that can be treated with acupressure. 

Acupressure will help affected organs to receive energy needed for healing. 

You should try taking a barefoot walk instead of massages, walk on beaches, grass, gravel etc. That way you will achieve all the benefits of acupressure. 

Not only will you thoroughly massage your feet, you will also establish a connection to Mother Earth who will fill you with needed energy.


Ground yourselves!


Just as sunlight provides vitamin D, Erath provides another integral substance – we can call it vitamin PE (PE as Planet Earth).

We consider that “vitamin” disregarded factor in disease occurrence – a missing link.

Gary Schwartz, PhD., a professor of psychology and medicine at Arizona University, claims that grounding can be as important as sunlight, air, water and nutrients. 

Grounding means contact with natural electrical energy emanating from Earth’s surface.

Grounding is easily achieved: simply walk barefoot or sit and work on the ground.

Studies indicate numerous proofs that Earth ground energy offers significant benefits.

Grounding, i.e. making a connection to ground's energy, achieves the following:

  • reduces stress level
  • enhance cardiovascular system health
  • reduces the effect of harmful electromagnetic fields
  • accelerates recovery following diseases and injuries
  • enhances sleep quality

Apart from that, studies clearly indicate that grounding has strong effect on a sensitive balance between health and diseases and on our chances of longer and better life.


How to walk barefoot?


If you decide to walk barefoot, start slowly, gradually advance to prolonged periods without footwear.

Have in mind that your walk will be different if you decide to walk barefoot. Listen to your body and try to harmonize yourself with you inner knowledge about walking barefoot.

Furthermore, it is best to start walking barefoot on soft surfaces, such as sand. When muscles and foot joints become stronger, and the skin on the soles of your feet becomes thicker, you can start walking barefoot on various surfaces. 

Our bodies are perfect and long-living, if we learn to take care of it properly. 

During summer many of us spend time at the seaside or in nature. That is an ideal opportunity to take of footwear and take a barefoot walk.

Maybe you will feel discomfort at first, since you are not used to walking barefoot, but the more you walk, the better will your energy flow be stimulated, thus enhancing your health and provide a sensation of pleasure and refreshment.
