Triphala (meaning "three fruits") is an ancient nutrient blend of three types of super-fruits from India.

It consists of equal ratio of dried fruit of plants amalaki (Emblica officinalis), haritaki (Terminalia chebula) and bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica).

It is said that triphala has the power to protect and treat internal organs just like a mother that cares for her children.

Each of the three herbal fruits in the composition of this mixture nourishes, cleans, strengthens, deeply renews and rejuvenates the entire body.

In the history of Ayurvedic literature, triphala is highly praised. It is believed that if someone uses this product for a period of one year, he will be free from all diseases and will have an extremely long life.

Therefore, it is marked by the term rasajana, which is the Sanskrit term for all drugs that rejuvenate the body.

It is so safe for use and so much appreciated for its effectiveness that Ayurveda says, "when in doubt what to do, take triphala".

Miraculous healing power of three fruits

Amalaki

Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), also known as the Indian gooseberry, is a round greenish-yellow fruit with a diameter of 2-3 cm.

This fruit is one of the best sources of antioxidants in the world. Specifically, amalaki juice contains 20 times more vitamin C than orange juice.

Amalaki cleanses the blood, stimulates the production of red blood cells, regulates blood circulation, stops bleeding, strengthens the heart and keeps the balance of blood sugar.

It improves digestion and has a laxative effect, strengthens the immune system, improves lungs and liver functions.

It is also excellent for improving vision. It is used for oral hygiene, strengthening teeth, bones and nails.

It promotes hair growth and is effective against hair loss.

Furthermore, it removes fatigue, improves mental capacity and enhances sexual function.

Amalaki is one of the strongest rejuvenating plants and cools the body and balances the pitta dosha.

Haritaki

Haritaki is the fruit of Terminalia chebula tree. In India it is also called "the divine fruit”.

It feeds it brain tissue and strengthens the entire nervous system.

Haritak removes toxins from the body, regulates the digestive system, especially the function of the colon, promotes weight loss and prevents intestinal cramps.

This fruit balances blood pressure and improves the heart function.

In addition, it has a positive effect on vision and strengthens the voice.

It fortifies and calms the mind, increases the intellectual capacity and heightens spiritual awareness.

This fruit hydrates and rejuvenates the body and contributes to the vitality and prolonged life.

It is considered the queen of plants in Tibetan medicine also. It effectively balances vata dosha.

Bibhitaki

Bibhitaki is the fruit of Terminalia belerica tree. In traditional Ayurvedic medicine, it is used as a means of rejuvenation, cleansing and nourishing the body.

It improves voice, clean the lungs and throat, and encourages the proper functioning of the entire respiratory system.

Bibhitaki strengthens the stomach, cleans the intestines and improves their tone, eliminate intestinal parasites and has a positive effect on the entire digestive system.

This fruit is effective in dissolving and expelling stones from the urinary tract.

Furthermore, it lowers cholesterol and promotes excretion of excess mucus from the body.

It is beneficial for the nervous system, heart and liver, improves the eyesight and strengthens the hair.

Thanks to its wealth of protein, it heats the body and balances the kapha dosha.

Application of triphala

Triphala is available in powder or pill. It is preferably taken in the form of powder, unless you can tolerate its bitter and acrid taste.

The usual dose is up to 5 g per day, which corresponds to one teaspoon.

It is usually taken before bedtime, melted and mixed in a glass of warm water.

The tablets are usually administered twice a day, one hour before a meal with a glass of warm water.

The best results are achieved after a year of regular use, and the first positive changes are visible after a few weeks, or even sooner in case of acute health problems.

This product is not recommended for pregnant women, nursing mothers and children with diarrhea and malnutrition.

In addition to oral application, triphala is applied as a liquid eyewash in cases of ophthalmic problems.

It helps with inflammation, progressive nearsightedness and in the early stages of glaucoma and cataract.

Soak one tablespoon of powder or six tablets in a glass with 2.5 ml of water and leave overnight.

In the morning, strain the mixture through a clean cheesecloth and pour into a bottle with a syringe.

Then spray the liquid over the eye.

Furthermore, you can wash your eyes and face in a bowl filled with this mixture. The tonic made in this way should be used for at least three months in case of serious eye problems.
