vitamini Lately we have often heard the controversies about vitamins.

Some recommend taking vitamins in large quantities, while others say that vitamins are toxic in large quantities.

The answer is that in excessive amounts everything can be toxic.

You can die from too much water intake. Large amounts of air can cause hyperventilation. You can get burned by excessive sunbathing.

Even the healthiest things can have a negative impact on health in excessive amounts. Almost all of the nutrients are toxic in large quantities.

Of course, you do not want to spend all day chewing and swallowing vitamins. In particular, do not use synthetic vitamins produced by pharmaceutical companies.

When you buy vitamins, always select vitamins made from natural ingredients, from fruits and vegetables, and natural dietary supplements based on herbs and super foods.

With such vitamins, it is almost impossible to overdose. Only if you do it on purpose.

So, the answer to this question is that, theoretically, you can overdose with vitamins.

But threshold toxicity of natural vitamins is ten times higher than the threshold of toxicity of synthetic drugs.

Two types of vitamins and their toxicity

There are two types of vitamins - water-soluble vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins.

In the category of water-soluble vitamins are vitamins of the B group and vitamin C.

These vitamins are easily absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract into the blood and do not accumulate in the body. These vitamins are quickly eliminated from the body, therefore their daily intake in needed.

Because of their rapid elimination from the body, it is almost impossible to overdose on vitamins B and C.

Fat-soluble vitamins have different properties. They are stored in the fatty tissues and the liver and are slowly eliminated from the body.

This group includes vitamins A, D, E and K. Excessive intake of these vitamins may cause their deposition in the body and health problems.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A - or retinol - plays an important role in the body. Vitamin A mostly is mostly found in animal products.

Beta-carotene - an antioxidant, which the body converts into vitamin A, can be found in fruits and vegetables.

The recommended daily intake of vitamin A is 10,000 IU, and of beta-carotene - 25,000 to 83,000 IU a day. For the purpose of treatment, it is possible to intake of large quantities of vitamin A and beta-carotene, but only at the recommendation of your physician.

Vitamin D

If you spend enough time in the sun, you do not need to worry about vitamin D, because it is created in our body when we are exposed to the sunlight.

You can not overdose with vitamin D - because our body produces exactly how much it needs it.

If you do not get enough sunlight, you can take vitamin D in the form of supplements. The recommended dose is up to 10,000 IU a day.

Sometimes for the purpose of treatment at higher doses of vitamin D (up to 50,000 IU) are used, but only if recommended by your physician.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant. It is important for the immune system, endocrine system and reproductive organs.

We find it in vegetable oils, nuts, leafy vegetables and avocados.

Normal diet ensures sufficient supply of this vitamin. If you choose to intake additional amounts of vitamin E, do not exceed the dose of 1000 IU a day.

Vitamin K

In nature, there are two forms of vitamin K: vitamin K1 (which we intake via food) and vitamin K2 (which is synthesized by bacteria in the small intestine).

Natural sources of vitamin K are green leafy vegetables, parsley, avocado, olive oil and algae.

Healthy man does not lack vitamin K, but if for some reason you need to take it, the recommended dose is 150 micrograms a day.

Vitamins against disease

Natural vitamins are a great way of prevention and treatment of many diseases.

Many nutritionists and alternative doctors will recommend taking certain combinations of vitamins, minerals in food supplements for treating a certain health problem. And it really works.

Vitamins are safe, effective, and affordable - if you compare them with the costs that the disease brings.

Unfortunately, the average diet of a modern man lacks many vitamins and minerals.

Taking natural supplements is a great way to intake the necessary amount of nutrients in your body.
