Healthy and beautiful hair makes us satisfied, confident and desirable.
But, our hair is not just our decoration.
Our hair is an indicator of everything that is happening inside our body and soul.
We can see on our hair in what state our organism is and what mood are we in.
In order for your hair to look as you want it to, you have to change your attitude towards it and devote it more time.
If your hair is thin and chapped, avoid Sun when its strongest, but also avoid extreme colds. Those environmental conditions will make your hair even more fragile than it already is.
If your natural hair is greasy, you will accomplish nothing by strongly rubbing your scalp while washing it. Take one wisp of hair at the time and gently rub in the shampoo with your palms.
Do not use a hairdryer
Hairdryer fries your hair, destroys it and makes it lifeless.
That is the consequence of hot air destroying keratin bonds within the strands, what reduces hair’s ability to withhold moisture.
It is better to leave your hair to dry itself or to gently soak in the moisture from your hair using a towel.
What to do if you hair start falling
Although this is something we are all sensitive about, experts believe that 50 to 80, or even 100, strands falling out every day is nothing to worry about.
Hair is naturally regenerated and old strands fall out to make place for the new ones, what is especially visible in spring and autumn.
Hair loss can be prevented with proper care, appropriate diet, applications of special therapies and wraps and by generally leading a healthy life.
Use these advices against hair loss:
- before washing, comb your hair to remove impurities and separate the strands
- use lukewarm running water for washing out the shampoo
- use only shampoos on a herbal base
- apply shampoo gently by massaging your scalp with the tip of your fingers
Ensure the most important nutrients for hair – vitamin C, biotin, proteins, zinc and iron.
You can get these from fruits, vegetables, dairy products and wholesome grains.
Hair loves nettle
Nettle is undisputed cosmetic star you can always rely on for skin and hair care.
So, wash your hair with nettle tea as often as possible. Results can be seen in a matter of weeks.
Nettle strengthens, feeds and nurtures our hair and prevents its falling and it also has an anti-dandruff effect.
Nettle purifies the blood, enhances metabolism and excretion of toxins from our organism and can also help with skin diseases.
Green clay detoxification
Green clay is effective for hair and scalp detoxification. After clay wraps, your hair will look full and shiny.
Prepare five to six spoons of clay, one spoon of base oil, hydrolat or water and five to six drops of appropriate essential oil.
Mix all the aforementioned ingredients into a soft paste and apply it along the whole length of the hair and massage it for five minutes. Keep the mixture on your hair for at least one hour. After that, wash out your hair normally.
Oil mixture wraps
Put 5 drops of geranium essential oil (geranium is great for intensive hair care) and Ylang-ylang (Ylang-ylang is ideal for healing hair) into 20 ml of cold pressed castor oil and wheat sprouts.
Rub the mixture in your scalp, wrap your hair with a warm towel and leave it for at least an hour. After that wash your hair with shampoo.
You can use other herbal or essential oils, depending on the hair type.
Dry hair: lavender, geranium, carrot seeds and sandal.
Greasy hair: rosemary, lavender, cypress, Himalayan cedar, sage and lemon eucalyptus.
Olive oil is used for normal to dry hair, but not for thin or greasy hair.
Use St John's wort macerates if you have dandruff and thin hair, but avoid it if you have light-colored hair.
Coconut and sesame oil can be used on all types of hair.
Jojoba enhances scalp circulation and is useful for greasy dandruff, hair loss and for making wraps for split ends.
Love your hair; give a couple of minutes to it every day and it will reward you for your effort with its beauty.
