Divine? Oh yes, it is.
To begin with, let us look at its color.
Purple is the color of the crown chakra, the place where we meet with the highest form of spirituality, where the supreme cosmic wisdom unites our spiritual and physical nature.
In doing so we should bare in mind that the color purple is basically a mixture of red and blue, respectively, i.e. the color of impulses and the color of mental ability.
Is that really a coincidence? No, it is not because nature does not do anything by accident, and when we think about lavender, the impression is that it was created precisely for healing human body and mind.
And more than that, we can use lavender for achieving spiritual and physical harmony to which we all aspire, i.e., integrity, and to do so it is necessary to clean the body and mind of numerous poisons which it consciously or unconsciously absorbs every day.
And here we come to cleanliness. The name lavender comes from the Latin word lavare, which means washing or bathing, purification in short.
Purification of body and soul
Lavender flowers have long been used in baths, for the purpose of purification of body and spirit.
The Greeks believed that this herb works well on expanding mental abilities, and they rubbed lavender oil on their forehead and scalp.
But it seems that Diogenes, a philosopher known for his wisdom, at some point came to the conclusion that it is much better to rub lavender on feet and legs, because that way, the smell will spread from the bottom up, so that our whole body can be wrapped in the lavender scent.
From then onward, lavender oil is being used in this way, which is, metaphysically, especially meaningful, since it connects our lower energy centers with higher ones, assuring the proper flow of energy and overall harmony.
The reason why lavender can rightfully be called divine lies in the universality of its application.
