Beetroot - ideal food for the winter months

Winter is approaching and we have no other choice than to switch to winter vegetables – to nibble carrots, chop cabbage and peel potatoes.
 
But do not forget beetroot - one of the best vegetables available in the winter!
 
According to Ayurveda, beetroot is a vegetable with warming properties, making it an ideal food during the cold winter months.
 
Beetroot is unique due to its high content of anticarcinogenic substances and carotenoids.
 
This vegetable is also an excellent source of folic acid. Beetroot is packed with antioxidants, which protect the body from premature aging and help fight many diseases.
 
Betacyanin is the pigment that gives beetroot its red color. This pigment is absorbed into the blood and increases the ability of blood to carry oxygen by as much as 400%.
 
Do not throw the leaves of beetroot. They are rich in beta-carotene, folic acid, chlorophyll, potassium, vitamin C and iron.
 
Beetroot leaves can be used to make green pulpy juice or prepare it as spinach.

 

The healing properties of beetroot:

  • Therapy with beetroot, which includes daily intake of beetroot juice or grated raw beetroot, is effective against leukemia and many other types of cancer.

  • Beetroot is especially recommended for pregnant women because of the high content of folic acid. This vitamine can help prevent many diseases in newborns.
  • Beetroot juice stimulates the liver and gall bladder while also preventing constipation.
  • This juice combined with carrot juice is an excellent remedy for gout and the illnesses of kidney and gall bladder.
  • It is known that beetroot can help with many other ailments: headaches, toothaches, dysentery, ischemia, skin problems, menstrual pain and others.

 

How to consume beetroot?

Beetroot can be eaten in cooked or raw form. The raw beat has greater therapeutic properties, as it loses some valuable nutrients while cooked. 
 
During the winter months a popular choice is eating pickled beets. Raw beetroot can also be grated and added to your favorite salad.

Therapy with beetroot juice

Beetroot juice has powerful medicinal properties. It is a part of many alternative methods, especially the well-known anti-cancer therapies by Rudolf Breuss.
 
Breuss, alternative doctor from Austria, devoted his whole life to finding the best natural anti-cancer drug. He made a special beetroot-based juice, which produced excellent results in the treatment of this disease. With the help of his methods over 45,000 people were cured from cancer and other terminal illnesses.
 
According to Breuss, cancer can survive only with the help of proteins contained in solid foods. He developed a special 42-day fast which involves only tea and the vegetable juice, the main ingredient of which is beetroot. During these 42 days the cancer cells starve and die, while the health of the rest of the organism improves.
 
Breuss’s juice is made only from organically-grown vegetables. Juice can be made at home from home-grown vegetables or from juices available in health food stores (we recommend Biotta juices)

 

The composition of the juice:

  • beetroot (55%)
  • carrot (20%)
  • celery root (20%)
  • potatoes (3%)
  • radish (2%)

 

We have to mention that cancer treatment by Rudolf Breuss does not only consist of the 42-day fasting, but also of a host of other factors, such as the elimination of toxins from the house, elimination of sugar, regulation of digestion, physical activity and others.

If you decide to consume beetroot juice, never start with a large amount. Beetroot juice is so strong that during cleansing you may feel dizzy. This is a normal sign of toxins being eliminated from the body. Drink more water to help the cleansing process and gradually increase the intake of juice.
