WHO warns: antibiotic-resistant bacteria seriously threatens the health of mankind
The use of antibiotics is not healthy and can lead to catastrophic consequences - and now this fact is confirmed by the WHO - World Health Organization.
In its latest report it states that antibiotics represent "a major global threat" to public health.
Based on an analysis of data from 114 countries it has been established that bacteria resistance to antibiotics is developing throughout the world.
This may adversely affect the future of all humanity.
WHO calls for urgent action.
It has been shown that infections that could be treated with antibiotics during previous years, now dangerously threaten the health and lives of people due to the development of bacteria resistance to antibiotics.
According to their theory, a large number of infectious diseases in the future could cause a global catastrophe if this problem is not approached "extremely seriously and responsibly."
The latest research confirms: electromagnetic pollution destroys human health
New scientific research related to the impact of mobile phone transmitters on health reveals shocking evidence of their harmful effects on the human brain.
The effects of exposure to mobile transmitters are a lack of concentration, irritability, difficulty sleeping and loss of appetite.

As announced by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, most of the preconditions for final approval of medical cannabis have been fulfilled.
Commission for Analysis and Recommendation of Using Indian Hemp and Cannabinoids for Medical Purposes recommended that herbal preparations on the basis of Indian hemp should be allowed in treating cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis and childhood epilepsy syndrome.
Even though efficiency of this herb has been proved in treating other neurological diseases such as Parkinson disease and physic disorders such as depression, anxiety and PTSP, the Commission did not recognize cannabis as official medicine in their treatment.
After solving administrative issues that refer to cannabis classification, labeling and proscription, as well as its manufacturing and distribution, marijuana will be put on the Croatian market as an official medicine.
This will stop the purchase of marijuana on the Croatian black market and prevent its illegal consummation for medical purposes without competent control.

This new technology called “chip organs” developed by scientist at the Harvard Wyss Institute for Biological Inspired Engineering could be a turning point in modern science.
This technology imitates biological processes in human body, particularly in specific organ, and gives the scientists a possibility to access them.
Every chip, which is the size of a razor, contains micro fluid tubes that contain human cells.
Exactly as in real human organs, air, blood and bacteria travel through them, creating new biological processes.
Oregano oil could become a part of cancer treatment
The aromatic herb that is often used as a pizza spice contains an active ingredient that kills cancer cells – according to the latest laboratory research.
Scientists have tested the effect of carvacrol, the active ingredient of oregano oil, on prostate cancer cells.
It turns out that carvacrol causes a process called "apoptosis" – a programmed self-destruction of cancer cells.
Apoptosis is one of the ways in which the body breaks down non-functional or malignant cells, such as those found in tumors.
An American researcher tried to understand how this process takes place in the body.
Recent research confirms: probiotics reduce depression and anxiety
Apart from protecting digestion and strengthening immunity, probiotics help the organism against depression, anxiety and fear.
This has been shown by the research carried out by the scientists at the Toronto University on 40 patients suffering from chronic fatigue.
The patients took probiotics for two months discovering that not only their digestion had improved but that their symptoms of depression and anxiety with which they struggled for years had subsided.
The control group, which was given placebo, did not experience change compared to their initial state.

The infamous U.S. corporation seeks to hire a university-trained agronomist with experience in the agricultural industry and trade.
Among the tasks of the future Monsanto representative is promoting the company's products on the Croatian market.
Many in the world believe this company to be dangerous to humanity because of changing the genetic code of plants to increase its resistance to disease, yields and, of course, revenue.
Such interventions in nature are extremely dangerous to human health and the environment.

Big Island said "NO" to GMO technology
Good news has come from beautiful Hawaii, which have for years been known as a center for the development and testing of GMO products.
Billy Kenoi, the mayor of the largest islands of Hawaii - Big Island, on December 5th 2013 signed a law that prohibits biotech companies working on the Big Island.
Farmers on the island are now prohibited from doing any form of cultivation, which includes genetically modified crops.
Just a few weeks before that, on the island of Kauai, a law that regulates the use of pesticides and GMOs was passed.
Kauai responded with these measures after a year-long complaints by the population about the dangers of biotechnology testing on the environment and human health.
Similar legislation is expected soon on Maui, the second largest island of Hawaii.

In hundreds of cities in 36 countries, protesters tried to attract public attention to this American corporation, which has acquired a reputation for "meanest corporation on the planet."
Zagreb is one of 286 cities in which a protest march has been organized.

How the governments favor the pharmaceutical industry

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned the company Diamond Foods to sell its walnuts in the U.S., apparently because they were considered to have medicinal properties.
In fact, the label said that walnuts are rich in omega 3 fatty acids.
Such claim, according to the FDA, can refer only to drugs, so Diamond Foods has to obtain registration of its nuts as a drug, which is a costly and uncertain procedure.
Milk contaminated by infected cattle food?
Croatian Ministry of Agriculture is trying to mitigate the panic that arouses due to the discovery of potentially carcinogenic aflatoxins in UHT milk produced by Dukat and Vindija.
Aflatoxins are toxic compounds produced by a mold Aspergillus flavus.
This mold is widely spread in nature and can attack and contaminate crops prior to harvest or during storage.
Aflatoxins’ victims are cereals, potatoes, fruits, nutty fruits, cotton seeds and food of animal origins, especially milk if animals had been fed by contaminated cattle food.
Pharmaceutical companies – the biggest criminals?
Two years ago, an American pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline was fined more than $3 billion.
It was the biggest fraud in the health care system in U.S. history.
The charges were related to the marketing of illegal drugs and withholding information about side effects of a drug for diabetes called Avandia, which each year killed more people than the Vietnam War.
But this is not the only case. Nearly 20% of economic crime is committed by pharmaceutical companies.
