Dr. Johanna Budwig, a famous German biochemist, during the fifties of the 20th century created the oil-protein diet that can help in the treatment of many serious diseases.
This scientist wrote a dozen books, two of which include - "Cancer - the problem and the solution" and "Oil-Protein Cookbook."
Due to her research, Dr. Budwig was nominated for the six Nobel prizes.
Diet is to be blamed for everything
Dr. Budwig believed that cancer, like the vast majority of other diseases, is mainly caused by improper diet, namely improper processing of food and oil, especially oil overheating.
This is the story that Dr. Budwig started after it was revealed that important ingredients for the human body are missing in the blood of cancer patients, such as lipoproteins and phospholipids.
She realized that these compounds have to be compensated in order for the disease to recede.
Lack of phosphatides and lipoproteins caused a lack of oxygen in cells, and Dr. Budwig started searching for a method that will return oxygen to human cells.
She realized that this could be achieved by combining certain foods and she created a special diet, which is called the Budwig diet or the Budwig protocol.
Flaxseed oil and cottage cheese
The diet consists of taking flaxseed oil in a combination with fresh non-fat cheese. It is important to take them together to achieve the full effect.
This seemingly simple diet reactivates the vital functions of cells. This is achieved by taking the natural unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in linseed oil.
They become soluble in water when mixed with fresh non-fat cottage cheese.
The two main components are combined with other healthy foods - fresh organic fruits and vegetables, nuts, grains such as rice, buckwheat and millet, spices, teas and honey.
Budwig protocol
Daily amount for those with serious diseases is 40 to 50 grams of flaxseed oil mixed with 100 grams of fresh low-fat cheese daily.
The mixture can be eaten at once or spread out in several meals. If you opt for more meals, it is necessary to re-prepare the mixture every time, because the mixture loses beneficial properties if you leave it for a long time.
If you do not like cheese, you can use yogurt or kefir, but you have to use three times more of them. Oil and cheese have to be properly mixed, so you should use the stick blender.
Once you mix them, you can add fresh fruit such as hazelnuts, or a teaspoon of honey for better flavor.
In addition, it is important to eat freshly milled flax seeds because they contain some ingredients which the oil does not.
Dr. Budwig recommended therapy and sunlight with its oil-protein diet, avoiding stress and toxins, and the use of Eldi oil (electrically differentiated oil).
The combination of the aforementioned food items should allow our body to heal from serious diseases.
Diet for the sick and the healthy
The protocol is used for the treatment of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and other diseases.
Where conventional medicines have failed, her therapy has proved successful.
But this diet is not just for people with serious illnesses.
Specifically, diet created by Dr. Budwig also acts as a deterrent and is recommended for healthy people who are frequently exposed to severe efforts, and for everyone else.
Some of the essential rules of Budwig protocol:
- consume a lot of fluids, as much as three liters a day
- eat raw fruits and vegetables
- drink freshly squeezed juices made of vegetables and fruits
- eat nuts without baking!
- sweet food is forbidden!
- red meat is forbidden!
- eat moderate amounts of integral pasta and whole wheat bread
- daily exposure to the sun is important (up to an hour)
- walk 30 to 60 minutes each day
What is not allowed
When it comes to fat, you may only use coconut oil and flaxseed oil which must be cold pressed and unrefined.
Coconut oil can be heated, since it can not produce harmful compounds, but flaxseed oil can not be heated, you can add it only at the end of the meal preparation.
Avoid meat and meat products, sugar, cakes and pastries, pasta, canned foods and animal fats.
Sugar is expressly prohibited and sweetening can be achieved using stevia, honey or fruit juice.
Seafood is also forbidden, because it is full of toxins and all pesticides and chemicals should be avoided too, even those in household products and cosmetics.
Instead, you can use natural ingredients like vinegar and baking soda for cleaning.
Do not prepare your meals in a microwave or in teflon or aluminum cookware, use stainless steel, enamel and glass dishes.
When can we expect to see results?
You should feel the results after just a few weeks; a serious illness should be withdrawn within one to five years.
Budwig recommends us to continue with this diet after the withdrawal of the disease, in order to prevent relapse.
