"Father of ADHD," shocked official medicine with his statement |

Surely you have noticed a child who that very active, has problems with concentrating on the tasks and is constantly seeking new sources of entertainment.
The description sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
If such a child is brought to a doctor, he will diagnose the child with attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity (ADHD) and prescribe medication, although it may not be sick.
This is the message sent by the doctor for ADHD, Leon Eisenberg, shortly before his death.
The lack of attention is not a disease
This psychiatrist and author of numerous studies on ADHD has said towards the end of his life that doctors easily diagnose this controversial disorder and are unnecessary prescribing medication to children.
It is true that some children have difficulty maintaining concentration and are quickly bored with everything they do.
However, this does not necessarily mean that these children are sick.
In medical community and beyond there are many critics of ADHD and the way in which medicine approaches children who are difficult to concentrate and maintain attention.
In the US, as many as ten percent of ten year-olds takes daily medication for ADHD.
In the view of opponents of ADHD, it does not reflect the actual prevalence of this disorder.
Some people think that this disease is fictional.

Statement by Dr. Eisenberg, who is considered as the "father of ADHD," is particularly shocking to orthodox medicine, because he was, earlier in his career, the biggest supporter of prescribing drugs for ADHD.
Eisenberg, who died in 2009 at the age of 87 years, is known as the father of ADHD because during the fifties and sixties he greatly contributed to the definition of this disorder and determining treatment for it.
He was the first to conduct biological research based on difficulties in the development of children and clinical trials on the effects of psychiatric drugs on children.
His criticism was conveyed by German magazine Der Spiegel, to which retired doctor said that he would have never thought that his discovery of ADHD will "become so popular."
“Genetic predisposition for ADHD is highly exaggerated. Child psychiatrists should thoroughly identify psychosocial causes that led to the problem behavior, "told Dr. Eisenberg.
“Proper diagnosis requires a lot of time. A pill may can be prescribed very quickly", he said, sighing.
Manipulation with diagnoses and drugs
In the sixties, mental disorders among children were almost unheard of.
Today, official sources claim that every eighth child in the US is mentally ill, and that 5.4 million American children have ADHD symptoms.
These data prompted the American psychologist Dr. Jerome Kagan to accuse doctors and pharmacists of manipulating with diagnoses and medication.
According to his research, medications such as Ritalin are prescribed more often than they should be, and ADHD is a "fabrication".
"Even fifty years ago, there were seven year olds who were bored in school and were interfering classes. At that time, such kid was labeled as lazy. Today, it is said that it suffers from ADHD. Therefore, the number of children
with a psychiatric diagnosis increased, "noted Kagan.
"Any child who does not do well in school is sent to a pediatrician, and the pediatrician says, 'it's ADHD, here's Ritalin.'
In fact, 90 percent of these children have no disorder. The problem is this: if a drug is available to doctors, they will set an appropriate diagnosis."
All for profit of pharmacists
Some critics of ADHD are sharper than Kagan.
Dr. Jay Parkinson believes that the majority of children diagnosed with ADHD has no health problems.
According to him, the problem is in society, especially the education system which is not adapted to children that are different than average children.
Portal Natural News writes that modern psychiatry and the pharmaceutical industry are profiting by prescribing unnecessary stimulants such as Ritalin and Adderall to children.
The dopamine theory
Official medicine has developed several theories about the cause of ADHD, but the most common one is that of the dopamine neurotransmitters.
Dopamine is a natural substance created by neurons. Dopamine, among other things, helps people to become interested, motivated and concentrated on external stimuli - for example in a particular task.
In some people, however, neurons secrete less dopamine.
Mainstream medicine claims that this is the reason why such individuals quickly lose interest in a particular task, and their attention wanders in search of new sensations.
The effect of drugs
It is interesting to note that stimulants do not make children physically active, but they trigger their brain.
Under the influence of these medicaments the child manages to focus more on one task, instead of seeking external stimuli.
However, many of the reckless and overly active children could learn to pay attention to the task and the discipline to keep it even without medication.
But, as said by Dr. Eisenberg in a moment of honesty, it is much easier for doctors to prescribe a medication that to deal with a child and its problematic environment.
