How the moon affects our life and health

By observing its changes, we will see that it is always seemingly being born and growing, and then it gradually decreases and vanishes.

It is this feature of his that represent a link to the universal laws of time that all forms of life obey.

We could say at multiple levels that the Moon literally serves us as a subtle guide through life.

Ancient cultures have attached more meaning to life in accordance with the Moon's cycle.

For example, it is known that the Babylonians used, as a mark for a week, a 7-day period which corresponded to one lunar phase.

Furthermore, the experience of the influence of lunar phases on the growth and development of plants has for centuries been passed down from generation to generation, determining the best time for agricultural work.

Fortunately, this forgotten knowledge slowly returns to our lives.

Chronobiology, as a young scientific discipline that studies the biological rhythms, is also paying attention to the influence of the Moon.

Even stubborn scientific circles are slowly accepting the evidence in favor of the fact that celestial body really has an impact on our mental and physical health.  

Given the fact that the human body contains about 70% water, it is not illogical to assume that Earth's satellite, except that raises and lowers the seas and oceans, also produces "tides in our body".

Although we could on the basis of anxiety and tensions, as well as numerous other adverse events such as murders and robberies, which are observed to be more likely to occur during the full moon, conclude that the energy of this celestial body is more harm than good, we should not jump to any such conclusions. 

In this regard, it is important to remember that the Moon reinforces the basic emotion. If the basic idea or emotion is negative, it will be reinforced by the Moon.

Fortunately, the reverse is true, but this segment, unfortunately, received little to no attention in recent times.

It is time to correct this oversight and learn to use lunar energy potential in the best way possible.


How Moon phases affect our lives


In the period of one month, the Moon goes through four phases or seasons - new moon, first quarter, full moon and the last quarter, with each lunation lasting 7 days.

Moon phase really is easy to recognize - it is enough to remember that during the growth of the moon resembles the letter D and at the time of decline, the letter G. 

Period of Moon growth can be compared to the light deep breath, and the period of its decline with a slow exhalation.

Following the natural rhythm of inhalation and exhalation, we will live much healthier, and with much less stress, and greatly increase the level of quality of our lives.

Growth phases of the Moon (a period of 14-15 days from the appearance of the new moon, through the first quarter until the full moon), it is best for planning and beginning of all projects, and also for the deprivation of unhealthy habits and organism cleansing.

It was a period when, in accordance with the biological rhythm, we are gradually becoming full of energy, and all the actions we take in that period will have a greater chance of success.

Since the new moon is closely associated with the beginnings and increased awareness, with the help of tables we can determine when the new Moon phase begins, and this is the day when we should start with the action in the perspective from which we expect a positive outcome.

In contrast, the decline phase of the moon, starting with the full Moon, and last quarter to new moon, is recommended to be used for implementing ideas, quiet and diligent work, and the release of energy, relaxation and meditation.

Also, this is the stage during which wounds heal more quickly, and we will recover from any mental or physical illness or injury faster and more successfully. 

For this reason, it is recommended that surgeries are done just in time for lunar decline, especially in the week corresponding to the last quarter.

In horticulture, the time when the Moon's light gradually strengthened - from new moon through the first quarter until the full moon, is best for transplanting potted plants, planting plants that grow above ground, fertilization and grafting fruit trees.

The period when the moon light gradually weakened - from full moon, over the last quarter to new moon, should be used for planting tuberous plants, and plants that grow under the ground (like carrots and potatoes), planting two-year plants and perennial plants and pruning shrubs and for removing weeds and snails.


Moon diet

In contrast, during the Moon’s decline, you can relax a bit, because at that time the food will be lees “dangerous” for your figure.
