When I first encountered with Ayurveda I did not realize that not only will it deepen my perception of humans as energetic, emotional, physical and mental beings, but that it will take me on a new journey from Europe to America.
My first journey started in Netherlands where I came to get my degree as an Ayurvedic therapist.
As a nurse I had a stable job but still I decided to take the risk that changed my life completely.
Why did I make such a decision at the beginning of my career?
The reason is very simple.
While I was working at the hospital, I observed new patients who came to the hospital for medical treatment. Their hearts were full of hope and trust in the western medicine, therapy and doctors.
They were immediately dressed in their pajamas and put into bed in a room full of strangers. They said goodbye to their families and started medical therapy that included various drugs.
What I have noticed in those new patients the following day was the change in their physical appearance – their face became yellow, their eyes lost their glow, in only two or three days the persons appeared older, tired and more sick then they were the moment they came into the hospital.
Then I asked myself why? Shouldn’t this person feel better? Shouldn’t sick people be provided with something better than just medical drugs?
The hospital was in any case depressing. The patients lost their privacy and individuality in preoccupied hospital rooms and they have been encountered daily with medical staff that was disinterested and tired.
I was 20 years old at the time and it was not easy to cut the ties of family and social expectations but I did it anyway, because, as well as those patients, I was not satisfied with the treatment and therapy the hospital was providing.
This is when my 10 years long adventure in unknown and exotic field of Ayurveda started.
I decided to learn more about this ancient legacy that was more than 5.000 years old.
In the end, Ayurveda is the older sister of western medicine, therefore it has to be worth of something?
So with my heart filled with enthusiasm and hope I started my first big journey to Netherlands.
I arrived at a beautiful little town called Valkenburg, surrounded by river, romantic castles, green parks and forests.

Valkenburg, Nizozemska
Do you think this is a coincidence? It certainly was not. Every clinic in Europe and America where I have worked was situated in natural surroundings, filled with peace and tranquility.
It is well known that Mother Nature is the greatest healer and she is always the first step toward healing. This was also known in ancient Ayurvedic medicine.
Therefore, use every spare moment to take a look at the blue skies or, especially, green colors of nature, because green color relaxes.
Make friends with Mother Nature because her aromatic embrace and the freshness of the air that surrounds her can help you more than hypnotic TV or any “magical pill” that promises to solve your problems.
Let this be our mutual adventure in which I will not only take you to the beautiful places I discovered while working in Ayurvedic clinics around the world but where I will present you with practical advices of bringing Ayurveda in your everyday life through various treatments for health, beauty and rejuvenation.
This is not a myth … Ayurveda knows the secret of perfect health.
Maybe we don’t know it all, but I am sure that these simple treatments will help the quality of your life to become more perfect.
Why am I sharing this with you? Because during my work at the hospital I have noticed the opposite.
While I was working in Ayurvedic clinic, our every patient (and some of them were seriously ill) every day would look better and better, their skin and eyes would glow and their life energy would increase. Which was not the case with patients I have encountered while working at the hospital.
The most serious and most stressed person, at the end of the day, would become happy.
For us, therapists, that was the greatest reward.
Therefore let us start this little adventure and discover all practical and valuable things Ayurveda has to offer.
The most valuable things in life are health, joy, love and kindness. In order to preserve them we have to nurture them.
And now let us open the door of Ayurvedic clinic and see what you can practically use in your everyday life.
The first thing our clients encounter in Ayurvedic clinic is ginger water and kanji water.
These two beverages are used not only by our clients but by Ayurvedic therapists as well.
Our clients use to comment how our complexion was beautiful and shiny.
This was no accident because we as therapists love to have Pancha Karma treatments.
