Graviola – a rainforest plant that treats cancer |

You have not yet heard of graviola? This plant is a new "hit" in natural medicine, and news of it spreads with lightning speed.
Graviola (Annona muricata) is an evergreen plant native to Central and South America.
Today it is cultivated in Mexico, the Caribbean, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela.
It can be found in sub-Saharan Africa and countries in Southeast Asia.
Graviola lives in areas of high humidity where the winters are relatively warm because this plant does not tolerate temperatures below 5 degrees when it experiences damages to the leaves and smaller branches.
Temperatures below 3 degrees Celsius can be fatal for this plant because then its fruits become dry and lose quality.
Graviola has a pleasant, sweet taste often compared with a combination of pineapple and strawberries with a creamy note reminiscent of coconut or banana.
You can eat graviola fruit in their original form or you can make juice of it.
Graviola bark, fruit and seeds are used in medicinal purposes.
Graviola and cancer
Graviola is a herb that is best known for its effects on cancer cells.
According to expert estimates, graviola selectively kills cancer cells up to 10,000 times stronger than chemotherapy medications.
In cancer treatment graviola has effects on several levels:
- destroys cancer cells, but without harmful side effects
- protects the immune system
- helps to avoid deadly infections
- establishes normal functioning of organs
- restores vital energy and a positive outlook on life
According to laboratory tests of one U.S. manufacturer of medicines, graviola herbal extract kills cells of 12 types of cancer.
Among them are colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancers.
Compounds found in graviola tree are up to 10,000 times stronger than Adriamycin, which is commonly used in chemotherapy.
Unlike conventional medicines, graviola does not harm healthy cells and effectively kills cancer cells.
In addition to affecting cancer cells, graviola has other medicinal properties – it is effective against bacteria, fungi and parasites, regulates blood pressure and helps with stress, depression and nervous disorders.
South American Indians who live in the area where graviola grows use all parts of the tree (bark, leaves, roots, seeds) to treat heart diseases, asthma, arthritis, and liver problems.
Hidden from the general public
After the discovery of graviola’s medicinal properties, the pharmaceutical industry is faced with the following problem: under the law, the natural ingredient or plant is not patentable.
In this way, the pharmaceutical industry has lost its chance to extract huge profits from this natural medicine.
But the pharmaceutical industry did not want to give up on graviola – the industry is trying to synthesize graviola and create the most powerful ingredient that kills cancer cells. But, they are so far unable to artificially reproduce it.
After the loss of millions of dollars invested in testing, pharmaceutical companies withdrew from the project, while maintaining the confidentiality of all the benefits that graviola has.
Luckily, one of the scientists talked publicly about the effects of this plant.
The full range of the research later confirmed the effectiveness of graviola, but the results often remained hidden from the public eye.
A study published in the Journal of Natural Products, following a study conducted at Catholic University of South Korea, has confirmed that graviola selectively kills cancer cells "10,000 times more effective than Adriamycin."
The South Korean university confirmed that graviola kills cancer cells, but does not harm healthy cells, which is different from chemotherapy that destroys all cells.
A study at Purdue University found that an ingredient from graviola kill cancer cells precisely and selectively, and is especially effective against prostate, pancreatic and lung cancers.
The only possible side effect mentioned is associated with a high concentration of annonacin, a chemical that is associated with certain atypical forms of Parkinson's disease.
It is truly unfortunate that thousands of people a day die from different forms of cancer, when a natural remedy is at hand.
The recommended daily intake of graviola:
- Infusion: 1 cup three times a day
- Tincture: 2-4 ml three times daily
- Capsules: 2 capsules three times a day
- powder: 1 teaspoon a day
