chi

Chi, what is that? Who is pulling all the strings?

Even our ancient ancestors asked themselves that question, then the ancient thinkers, great philosophers, and today’s scientist still ask it.

A long journey in search of answers began back in the early days of human civilization, when people started searching for clarifications of powerful forces such as thunder, rain, lightning, light, darkness, moonlight etc.

These natural phenomena also frightened people and manage their lives.

From this, a need to explain them was born, an explanation that would allow us humans to coexist with forces of nature.

The first realization that these powerful forces come from the sky and they control the phenomena on the earth has given them names such as' 'cosmic breath” and ''heavenly force'' etc.

Further observations told early humans that the nature is full of opposing forces that act in harmony, that everything occurs in nature due to some order and at regular intervals, that nature is constantly changing but still works in perfect unity.

To our ancestors, it was clear that behind the visible world there is a force that creates order on our planet and in the universe.

In time, the force was given the names of Prana, Ki and Chi.

Holistic view of the world gave birth to many definitions of Chi - the soul and the heart of everything existing, all-pervading force, the life force that creates everything and forms everything, a force that takes various forms while has no real form.

It represents thoughts and emotions, mountains and rivers, fire and stone etc.

Scientific term' 'energy" is the nearest definition of Chi, and I would have added the word "charge”.

Today's science has confirmed many aspects of Chi, for example magnetic field, electromagnetic, gravitational, and nuclear power, light radiation etc.

We are still very much enjoying the benefits of these discoveries.

Western science goes deeper – it breaks the atom, does not stop at the electron level but is trying to catch that Chi energy, but to no avail.

More and more scientists believe that matter possesses "awareness." Numerous experiments were created for proving that statement.

Chi gets more names like'' higher consciousness'','' collective consciousness'','' God’s particle'' etc.

So many definitions, all accurate but not complete!

The point lies in the truth that we all know that it exists, that we feel it, and that we encounter such energy every day.

Keep in mind the comfort when you are sitting next to a stream and discomfort that stormy sea causes, that smile when you see your dear ones and those vibrations in chest that cannot explain.

It is also what puts us to sleep and wakes us up, the force that makes tulips grow and blossom etc.

Eastern people did not trouble themselves with defining Chi. It was more important to them to know how Chi is expressed and how it influences human lives.

Feng shui goes hand in hand with Chi, explores its forms and behavior, detect when Chi is pleasant and unpleasant or when it is positive or destructive.

We just need to understand Feng shui and remember this saying:

'' Feng shui advices are a little weird, but you are crazy if you do not listen''.
